Bhubaneswar, April 24: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) today released a ‘chargesheet’ against the Biju Janata Dal (BJD)highlighting the failures of the state government in the last 25 years.

The party raised several issues like labour migration, women's safety, rising crime against children, lack of welfare measures and employment opportunities.

Union Minister Bhupender Yadav released the 60-page chargesheet title, ‘Kete Dina Au Sahiba, Parivartan Aniba’ (How long do we tolerate, it’s time for a change), pinpointing the failures of the state government.

State unit president Manmoahn Samal, Odisha election in-charge Vijay Pal Singh Tomar and party’s National Vice-President Baijayant Panda were present on the occasion.

“In the last 25 years, Odisha government has failed to increase farmers’ income, strengthen irrigation facility, set up more cold storages and extend benefits to farmers. The BJD government has failed miserably to give protection to women in the last 24 years, said Yadav.

He said landless labourers from Odisha are migrating to other states and over 40,000 labourers have moved out of Odisha in the past year.

Yadav said the BJP is contesting the Lok Sabha and Assembly elections in Odisha to form governments at the Centre and the state.
