Deogarh, May 9: The BJP will regulate country liquor sale if party comes to power in Odisha, BJP's Sambalpur Lok Sabha candidate Dharmendra Pradhan said on Wednesday.
We will regulate the sale of country liquor that will help to prevent atrocities on women, Pradhan said addressing a rally at Tileibani in Deogarh district.
"The manufacturing and distribution of country liquor will be regulated by imposing restriction on its licensing and marketing,” said Pradhan.
It will not only help to prevent atrocities on women but also serve as a deterrent to corruption within the government machinery that has been going on in the name of earning revenue through liquor, he asserted.
The Talcher-Bimlagarh railway line work is underway, the survey work on Barkote-Jharsuguda railway line has been completed and the project will begin after the land acquisition, which will be expedited after the BJP comes to power in the state, Pradhan said in his address assuring several other development schemes in Deogarh.
