Jajpur, April 29: Tragedy struck in Jajpur district as two bikers lost their lives after an unidentified vehicle hit them today.
The incident occurred on National Highway 16 near the Badachana overbridge under Rasulpur Block in Jajpur District.
The victims, who were traveling from Cuttack to Chandikhol, were hit by an unknown vehicle from the rear, causing them to fall from their bike. Subsequently, the vehicle ran over them, resulting in their immediate demise.
Upon receiving the information, the police arrived at the scene, recovered the bodies, and shifted them to the hospital for postmortem examination.
The driver of the unidentified vehicle fled the scene after the collision.
Further investigation is on.
