Aden, Ap 27: Abdul Malik al-Houthi, the leader of Yemen's Houthi group, reaffirmed the group's commitment to its naval operations in the Red Sea, dismissing reports suggesting a decline in Houthi maritime attacks. Speaking at a rally in Sanaa, Al-Houthi announced the expansion of their maritime operations into the Indian Ocean, labeling it as "a new theatre of confrontation."

He claimed responsibility for 102 attacks on vessels linked to Israel since the start of the Israel-Hamas conflict in October 2023, emphasizing the group's naval capabilities. Al-Houthi criticized US and British forces for failing to ensure safe passage for these vessels despite their military efforts.

He rejected media reports indicating a decrease in maritime attacks, asserting that Houthi operations continue unabated, contradicting statements by American officials. Large-scale protests supporting Houthi attacks on maritime trade routes and condemning Israel's actions in Gaza were held across Houthi-controlled provinces.
