Paradeep, April 23: Body of a labourer was found inside a foreign ship named MV Ulusoi at the Paradip Port under mystrious circumstances on Tuesday morning. The deceased has been identifed as Bibhuti Barik, a resident of Baramba area in Odisha’s Cuttack district.
According to the reports, Bibhuti was working as a labourer in the Istanbul based ship and had gone to the hatch of the ship as a loader on Sunday night. However, his body was recovered 30 hours after he went missing on Sunday night. Although the exact reason of the death is yet to be ascertained, it has been suspected that the labourer might have died due to suffocation .
Being informed, police reached the spot, seized the body and sent it for autopsy. Police have also started investigation into the incident.
