Berhampur, Ap 30: BJD supremo and Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will file his nomination papers today from Hinjili in Ganjam district for the sixth time. Accompanied by his close aide V K Pandian, he will submit the papers at Chhatrapur after seeking blessings at Tara Tarini Temple.

Hinjili, under the Aska parliamentary seat, goes to polls on May 20.

Since 2000, Naveen has been consistently winning from this seat, with increasing margins each time. In his first win, he secured 29,826 votes more than his opponent. Over the years, his winning margin has only grown – in 2004, it was 42,642, in 2009 and 2014, it rose to 61,773 and 76,586 respectively. Even in 2019, he won with a margin of 60,160 votes.
Meanwhile, Rahul Gandhi criticizes PM Modi, suggesting BJD-BJP collusion, during a rally in Kendrapara.
Additionally, Amit Shah criticizes Patnaik's tenure, supporting BJP's developmental agenda in Odisha.
