Bhubaneswar, April 28: Amid frequent blocking & Checking, taken up by the Commissionerate Police in view of election, the Chandrasekharpur Police on Sunday seized Rs 3.6 unaccounted cash from a car.
One Amlan Jyoti Prakash Singh belonging to the Chandaka area who claims the amount as of his own, has been detained by the sleuths.
Twin-City Police Commissioner Sanjeev Panda said, the Chandrashekharpur Police recovered the amount from the car near the OMFED Complex in Bhubaneswar.During interrogation, Singh told the police that he has a water purification unit in Puri for which he was carrying the money for his staff payment.However, Rs 3.60 lakh cash was seized as the claimant could not substantiate his claim with producing relevant documents in this connection.
