Bhubaneswar, Ap 26: Students at Rama Devi Women’s University in Bhubaneswar took to the streets on Friday to voice their demand for the postponement of upcoming examinations. Their protest stems from the adverse effects of the ongoing heatwave in Odisha, which has persisted for several days.
They expressed their resentment as the examination dates have been announced from April 30 to May 18, 2024.
Concerns regarding the challenging weather conditions are paramount in their protest. They point out the difficulties faced by students, particularly those residing in hostels with inadequate ventilation. Additionally, they emphasize the importance of a calm and composed temperament for optimal performance in examinations. They assert that attempting exams under such adverse conditions undermines the fundamental purpose of assessing a student's abilities and capabilities.
