The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released an official notification inviting applications for the recruitment of Assistant Commandant positions in the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF).
Eligible candidates keen on joining the UPSC CAPF 2024 can submit their applications through the commission's website, upsconline.nic.in. The application process commenced on April 24 and will conclude on May 14, 2024.
Applicants will have the opportunity to review and edit their applications from May 15 to May 21, 2024.

Total Vacancies: 506 posts
- Border Security Force (BSF): 186 posts
- Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF): 120 posts
- Central Industrial Security Force (CISF): 100 posts
- Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP): 58 posts
- Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB): 42 posts
Age Limit:
Candidates must be between 20 to 25 years old as of August 1, 2024. Relaxation in the upper age limit will be applicable as per government rules.
Educational Qualification:
Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree from a University recognized by the Central or State Legislature in India, or from institutions declared as deemed universities under Section-3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification.
Application Fee:
Except for Female/SC/ST Candidates who are exempted from payment, applicants are required to pay a fee of Rs 200. The fee can be remitted at any Branch of State Bank of India or through online payment methods such as Visa/Master/RuPay Credit/Debit Card, UPI Payment, or Internet Banking of any Bank.
