New Delhi, January 15: Dense fog engulfed New Delhi on Wednesday morning, causing disruptions at Delhi Airport. Adverse weather conditions led to six flights being diverted to Jaipur, over 300 flights delayed, and a temporary halt on departures.
The visibility on the runway was severely impacted between 8:00 AM and 10:30 AM, prompting the diversions.
An official said that flight departures were briefly suspended early in the morning due to low visibility.
However, conditions began to improve as the day progressed. At 2:20 PM, Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) updated on X (formerly Twitter), stating, "Runway visibility at Delhi Airport is improving, and flight operations are gradually resuming."
