Bhubaneswar, January 24: At least 20,000 jobs have already been delivered, 20K more job opportunities will be provided to Odisha youths this year, said Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Friday.
While sharing a pre-budget session with elites, economists and opinion leaders today, Majhi said, fiscal 2025 will be a milestone in Odisha history regarding employment of educated and skilled youths. Out of over three lakhs jobs committed at the election, is going to be fulfilled during the scheduled timeline.
Underscoring the roadmap crafted by the state government to expand the horizon of employment, Majhi said, “We are heading towards creating as many as 40k jobs by the year end that will essentially provide self reliance among the Odisha youths.”
“It’s why we are focusing on industries and agriculture empowerment as key sectors to drive job creation in abundance.” Majhi added.
The CM also said investments will play a transformative role in rural development, particularly through the implementation of the Bikashita Gaon Bikashita Odisha project.
The pre-budget meeting also included discussions on various proposals aimed at aligning job creation in line with the state’s development strategies.
