Bhubaneswar, February 27: Ace Odia filmstar Uttam Mohanty is no more.
Mohanty passed away during treatment at the Medanta Hospital in Gurugram on Thursday, said sources.
The veteran actor was airlifted to the Medanta Hospital Gurugram on February 8 for his liver related complications.
Earlier, Uttam was rushed to a private hospital in Bhubaneswar after he complained of acute restlessness.
Later, he was put under ventilation for severe congestion in his chest.
According to treating physician Dr. Manoj Kumar Sahu, Appollo Hospital Bhubaneswar, Uttam was suffering form liver Cirrhosis since a couple of months. Meanwhile, he was also struggling with multi-organ failure that needed high-end superspecialty care.
