Bhubaneswar, February 19: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Wednesday conducted a raid in the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Bhubaneswar over alleged irregularities in its recruitment processes.
A nine-member team of the Regional CBI office Bhubaneswar seized a huge cache of documents based upon some public allegations.
During the raid, the CBI sleuths investigated into the process of regularization of the contractual staff, flouting the ‘All India recruitment norms’ laid down by the government of India.
From this apart, the central investigation team, scanned for some forged documents allegedly obtained from Gorakhpur and Ghaziabad in UP for regularization of some posts.
Worth mentioning, the CBI conducted the raid based upon definite inputs, to probe on how as many as five members of a family succeeded to get regular jobs in AIIMS Bhubaneswar at a time.
During the course of investigation, the sleuths quizzed at least 27 AIIMS officials regarding the issues whereas some important files from the academic block were seized for further verification, said sources.
