Koraput, January 24: Andhra Pradesh officials on Friday organized a government program in Odisha’s Kotia.
Officers from Andhra Pradesh announced the revised prices of forest products, in a camp held before the Kotia Gram Panchayat office, which is left abandoned, said sources.
According to report, scores of officials of the Andhra Pradesh administration trespassed into the Odisha border this evening. Eventually, they organized a camp relating to the new price list finalized by the Andhra government for collection and trading of forest goods including honey, wax and sal seeds, before the Kotia GP office, that is almost remaining locked. In the camp, the Andhra officials were found sensitizing mass on collecting forest products and trading them for their livelihood.
The illegal infiltration of Andhra officials into the Odisha territories despite strong protests of locals and district administration has yet created a furor in the area.
