Bhubaneswar, Jan 3: Bhubaneswar and many places of Odisha were blanketed by a thick fog today, reducing visibility to near-zero levels and creating significant disruptions throughout the city.

Traffic came to a standstill as commuters struggled to navigate the fog-covered roads. It felt as if the roads themselves had vanished, leaving drivers and pedestrians disoriented. The fog was particularly dense on the routes leading into Bhubaneswar, causing difficulties for both locals and tourists.

This dense fog wasn’t limited to the capital city, as the entire state of Odisha faced similar challenges with reduced road visibility. Many areas saw motorists and pedestrians confused and uncertain about their surroundings.

According to the local Meteorological Department, Odisha is expected to continue experiencing such thick fog for the next 2-3 days, prompting a cautionary alert for all drivers. The department also forecasted a slight temperature drop of 2-4 degrees across the state, providing some relief from the severe cold weather that had been affecting the region in recent days.
