Cuttack, Nov 22: Unique handcrafted wooden wall frames are a major attraction in Bali Yatra. Krishna Kant Rai from Assam has been selling these products. The wooden wall hangings are entirely crafted from wood, offering a rustic yet elegant aesthetic. In addition to wall frames, Rai is also showcasing a variety of other handcrafted items, including wooden tea cups, glasses, and wall hangings featuring images of Lord Ganesh and floral designs.
The prices for these items range from ₹250 to ₹5000, depending on the design and
Craftsmanship. With an increasing demand for home décor items, these handcrafted pieces have gained popularity among the festival-goers. Many visitors are drawn to the beautiful wooden frames that feature traditional Pattachitra art—an ancient Odisha painting style. Among these, Maharasa, Kunjarasa, and Bersarasa motifs are prominently displayed. These three Pattachitra artworks are priced at ₹6000 each.
Local businessman Trilochan Sahu from Khordha has brought these handcrafted creations to Baliyatra. The intricate designs and rich cultural heritage reflected in these pieces have made them a sought-after item at the festival.
