Nabarangpur, May 4:With the first phase of the simultaneous election in Odisha scheduled on May 13, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Saturday hit the campaign trail for BJD at Nabarangpur.
The CM and BJD Supremo addressed a public meeting here and appealed the people to vote for the BJD.
Underlining phenomenal developments and transformations across the state, Naveen said the BJD government has been a people’s government for its plethora of welfare works. Patnaik during his speech enquired people’s feedback regarding the efficacy of the BSKY, Srimandir Parikrama Prakalpa, Mission Shakti, Mamata and Nua-Odisha schemes, which were successively crafted out for the Odisha people by the Odisha government.
Apart from it, Naveen targeted the opposition parties, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Congress saying, leaders of the parties are shedding crocodile tears now for political gain only. However, they have no contribution in making the state developed.
Secretary 5T VK Pandian also appealed the locals to vote for double conch in the prevailing poll scheduled on May 13.
Similalry, CM Naveen and Pandian addressed a public meeting in Koraput in the afternoon and campigned in favour of the BJD candidates.During the campaign Naveen appealed the poeple to vote for Lok Sabha candidate Koushalya Hikaka, and Assembly candidates Prabhu Jani, Prafulla Pangi, Indira Nanda and Raghuram Palei.
