Cold wave to persist in Odisha for next five days, warns IMD

Bhubaneswar, January 18: The cold wave is likely to prevail in Odisha for the next four to five days, with temperatures expected to drop further, informed India Meteorological Department (IMD).

The IMD has forecasted that the state will continue to face cold wave conditions, with drops in mercury levels.

The department has also issued a warning for moderate to dense fog in several districts, including Ganjam, Gajapati, Puri, Jagatsinghpur, Khordha, Cuttack, Nayagarh, Keonjhar, and Jharsuguda, over the next three days.

Minimum temperatures have already fallen below 10°C in several areas. Daringbadi recorded a low of 6°C, while Phulbani saw 8.5°C. Other parts of the state, including Rourkela, Kendujhar, and Bhubaneswar, have also been experiencing chilly conditions.
