Army officer assault case in Odisha: Court allows polygraph test of Bharatpur IIC

Bhubaneswar, Sept 25: The Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC) Court, Bhubaneswar on Wednesday allowed the polygraph test of Bharatpur Police Station Instepctor-in-Charge (IIC) Dinakrushna Mishra in connection with the assault on the Army Captain and his fiancée.

The court, while hearing a submission of the Odisha Crime Branch, allowed to conduct the polygraph test of the IIC who has been accused of assaulting the Captain’s fiancée. 

On the other hand, the court acknowledged the submission of the IIC who gave his consent for the test.

The IIC agreed before the court to cooperate in the investigation.

According to reports, the polygraph test will be carried out at a sophisticated forensic lab in Gujurat.

Worth mentioning, the Odisha Crime Branch had prayed to the court to accord permission for the polygraph test of the IIC and the victims-the Captain and his fiancée.
