Bhadrak, Oct 24: While the Cyclone Dana is looming over Odisha’s fate and the cyclonic system is about to begin its landfall at any time on the state’s coastal line, Bhadrak has been witnessing heavy rain and stormy wind since the wee hours of Thursday.
With the effect of the Cyclone Dana, felling of trees and blockade of roads in massive scale, have jeopardized the commumnicatio networks while the Dhusuri area of the district has been more affected by the hitting wind.
Acting on it, the Dhusuri Police in collaboration with the odisha fire fighting unit deployed here for relief and restoration, have cleared the road blockade caused by felling tree due to the cyclonic impact within on a war footing and restored communication in the district.
Applauding the immediate response of the cops in clearing up the serviceable roads, DIG, Eastern Range Dr. Satyajit Naik, who is looking after the rescue, restoration and rehabilitation works in the Bhadrak district ahead of the wrath of the Cyclone Dana said that, the Bhadrak police in line with the line departments is well equipped to tackle any sort of unforeseen situation here.
