Bhubaneswar, January 23: A large number of supporters of suspended BJD Patkura MLA, Arvind Mohapatra, from Odisha’s Kendrapara district gathered outside the party headquarters in Bhubaneswar on Friday, calling for the revocation of his suspension. The demonstrators voiced strong opposition to the decision and demanded justice for their MLA.

On January 15, Mohapatra, alongside Champua MLA Sanatan Mahakud, was suspended from the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) for allegedly engaging in "anti-party activities." This move came after BJD president Naveen Patnaik accused Mohapatra of obstructing the development of Patkura, his home constituency.

The supporters, visibly agitated, expressed their discontent with the suspension and urged party leadership to reconsider the decision, emphasizing Mohapatra's contributions to the party and the constituency.
