Berhampur, April 4: Senior BJD leader and former Deputy Assembly Speaker Ramchandra Panda tendered his resignation from the primary membership of the party today. Additionally, T Gopi, a senior party leader from Berhampur, also resigned from the party. Both leaders have cited negligence as the primary reason for their decision to leave BJD.
Panda expressed his dissatisfaction, stating that despite fulfilling all his responsibilities effectively, he did not receive adequate respect within the party. However, he clarified that he has not made any decisions regarding joining another political party yet. He also alleged that three leaders who transitioned from the Congress now hold significant control over the party in Ganjam. And Arindam Sarkhel, popularly known as Bapi Sarkhel, today resigned from the Congress.
