Cuttack, January 9: The Jagatpur Police unearthed a fake tyre manufacturing unit in Cuttack and seized a huge cache of substandard tyres from its godown.
Following a raid on the manufacturing unit located at the Jagatpur area in the City, the police apprehended the proprietor.
According to reports, the fake tyre manufacturing unit had been functioning here for years and trading substandard tyres under a branded company’s product.
Acting on a complaint, the police conducted simultaneous raids on the factory and the godown and seized bike and bicycle tyres worth a few lakhs rupees.
