Sundargarh, Jan 4: In a tragic incident, a female teacher was found hanging from a ceiling fan in the school premises in Rajgangpur Block in Odisha's Sundargarh district.

The deceased teacher has been identified as Sagarika Panda (36). 

As per reports, Sagarika was found hanging from the ceiling fan in the premises of Ekalavya Model Residential School in Laing. 

Upon getting the information, police arrived at the scene and brought the body down. Subsequently, it was sent for post-mortem. 

Sagarika’s husband, Gyanranjan Tripathy, is also a teacher at the same school.

Though the exact reason behind Sagarika’s death is yet to be ascertained, her family members have alleging foul play.

Further investigation into the matter was underway.
