First Sikh CJI JS Khehar and Senior Advocate CS Vaidyanathan among Padma Awardees

New Delhi, January 26: Former Chief Justice of India, JS Khehar, and renowned senior advocate CS Vaidyanathan are among the 139 individuals honored with Padma awards, announced ahead of the 76th Republic Day celebrations.

The prestigious civilian awards, conferred by the government, include seven Padma Vibhushan, 19 Padma Bhushan, and 113 Padma Shri honors.

Justice Khehar has been awarded the Padma Vibhushan, while CS Vaidyanathan has been recognized with the Padma Shri.
