Bhubaneswar, Nov 2: Former Odisha Assembly Speaker and senior BJD leader Maheswar Mohanty has been admitted to a hospital after he fell ill last night.
He has been admitted to a private hospital in the Chandrasekharpur area of Bhubaneswar.
According to sources, Mohanty, who had graced several events in Puri yesterday, felt uneasy after reaching home last night. As per initial reports, the former minister was diagnosed with a mild brain stroke and is currently under ventilator support in the hospital.
It is worth mentioning that Mohanty visits the hospital once or twice a month for regular health check-ups. He was also admitted there for a couple of days for treatment a few days back.
