Koraput, Dec 29: In a tragic incident, as many as four persons were killed and 30 others sustained injuries after the bus they were traveling in overturned at Dapari ghat under Boipariguda police limits in Odisha's Koraput district today morning.
As per reports, the bus with around 50 passengers on board was travelling from Niali in Cuttack district to Gupteswar shrine in Koraput district when the driver lost control over the wheels and the ill-fated vehicle turned turtle.
Tragically, four people lost their lives after being crushed beneath the overturned vehicle, including a 12-year-old boy and several women. Many people have also lost their hands and legs in the tragic accident.
Upon getting the information, police arrived at the scene and rescued the victims. They were rushed to the Boipariguda Hospital and later many of them were shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital as their health condition deteriorated.
The cops have initiated an investigation into the matter.
