Bhubaneswar, September 1: Southern parts of Odisha and coastal Andhra experienced heavy rainfall on Sunday, September 1, 2024, as a depression formed over the region.
Due to heavy rain in coastal Andhra- south Odisha, several trains have been canceled.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted continued heavy rain in the state, with rough sea conditions and squally weather expected to persist.
The districts most affected by the rainfall include Koraput, Malkangiri, Nabarangpur, Gajapati, and Rayagada. The depression currently lies centered over southern Odisha and northern Andhra Pradesh, causing widespread downpours across these areas, according to official sources.
