Kannur (Kerala), January 25: Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan emphasized the need for judicial institutions to provide timely justice to the common people.
Speaking at the inauguration of a new court building at the District Court Complex in Thalassery, the Chief Minister highlighted the importance of addressing delays in the justice system.
Vijayan pointed out that the well-known saying, "justice delayed is justice denied," rings true, noting that prolonged case delays erode public confidence in the judiciary.
He further mentioned that around five crore cases remain pending in courts across India, with the Supreme Court itself acknowledging the critical issue of delayed case resolutions.
