Bhubaneswar, Dec 9: In a shocking development in the case of popular comedian Guru’s death, his wife, Snehalata, has alleged that he was murdered, dismissing earlier reports of an accident. According to her complaint, Guru had an extramarital relationship with an actress, which could be a potential motive for his killing.

Snehalata claims the relationship continued even after Guru’s marriage. On the day of the incident, a video showing Guru in an argument with the actress and others went viral on social media, fueling further speculation.

Following his death, the family has reportedly not recovered his mobile phone and other personal belongings. In addition, an intimate video involving Guru and the actress has surfaced online. Snehalata has stated that she will soon file a formal police complaint regarding her husband’s alleged murder.
Guru, who hailed from Cuttack, first made a name for himself in the world of Jatra theatre with the play ‘Bada Danda Ra Bhikari’, written by Ashutosh Mohapatra. His portrayal in the play, particularly his iconic dialogue ‘Paida kie kahila…’, became a favorite among fans and cemented his status as a household name in Odisha’s Jatra circuit.

While Guru had opportunities in cinema and television, he chose to stay true to his roots in Jatra theatre. He began his journey in 2019 and quickly became known for his impeccable comic timing and vibrant performances. His lively and engaging personality, both on and off-stage, endeared him to audiences across the region.

Guru’s passing is a significant loss to the Jatra fraternity, where he was loved not only for his acting but also for his infectious energy and dedication to the craft. Fans and fellow performers alike are mourning the loss of a talented and beloved figure who brought joy and laughter to many.
