Bargarh, June 26: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi expressed deep grief over the tragic death of three persons due to lightning in Odisha’s Bargarh district and announced an ex-gratia of 4 lakhs to the deceased family members. He also declared that the injured would receive free medical treatment.
Worth mentioning, three persons Banachol, Niroj Kumbhar and Dhanuj Nayak were killed and two others sustained grievous injuries after lightning struck them in Padampur locality of Odisha’s Bargarh district today.
As per reports, the incident took place at Diwandihi village in Padampur when five people including the deceased persons were sitting under a tree and lightning struck them.
While Sukhadev, Niroj and Dhanuj died on the spot, two others sustained critical injuries. They have been admitted to a nearby hospital for treatment.
