Malkangiri, January 11: In a gruesome incident, a man in Odisha’s Malkangiri district killed his wife by slitting her throat and reached police station with blood-soaked hands on Saturday.
The accused has been identified as Niten Biswas.
The incident took place over a petty family dispute at MV-66 village under the Kalimela police limit.
According to reports, Biswas slit his wife’s throat to death after a violent altercation between them.
Following this, he reached out the police and confessed to his crime and asked the cops to arrest him.
Acting on it, police rushed the spot and recovered the blood-soaked body of the woman from a room.
The body was sent for an autopsy and the accused was sent to judicial remand, said police.
