Bhubaneswar, January 4: The Odisha government has appointed Manoj Kumar Sahoo as the Private Secretary to Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, according to a notification issued by the General Administration & Public Grievance (GA&PG) Department.
Sahoo has been serving as the Special Secretary to CM Mohan Majhi since December 2024.
A native of Singapur village in Balikuda block, Jagatsinghpur district, Sahoo has an extensive administrative background.
His notable career includes serving as the District Magistrate in Dadra Nagar Haveli and Daman and as the Collector for West Siang and Kurung Kumey districts in Arunachal Pradesh. Additionally, he has held the role of Deputy Secretary in the Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation in Delhi.
Sahoo played a pivotal role in implementing the Har Ghar Jal initiative, a flagship drinking water program envisioned by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, aimed at ensuring access to clean drinking water for every household.
