Cuttack, Dec 14: Road traffic in the Cuttack City was in a logjam on Saturday evening, after a MoBus caught fire on the main road.
The incident took place in the Madhupatna area when the entire bus was gutted following a smoke that came out of its engine all of a sudden.
According to report, the electric bus was returning to the Bhubaneswar Depot in the evening with no passenger onboard. Meanwhile, a smoke came out of the vehicle and the bus was found with high shooting flames near the Madhupatna Square.
On being informed, fire brigades rushed to the spot and controlled the flames spread to all other vehicles stalled on the road.
The reason behind the fire is yet to be ascertained. However, electrical short circuit might be the reason, the primary investigation of the fire fighting crew reveals.
