Bhubaneswar, January 25: The locals of Madhaba, the mythologically significant uncle’s abode of Lord Jagannath in Odisha’s Cuttack were on cloud nine, to witness the extended MoBus services to the famous shrine on Thursday.
As the bus parked before the historically eminent Madhaba Temple, scores of servitors of the shrine welcomed it with showering flowers and sanctified water.
Thanks to the Capital Region Urban Transport(CRUT) authorities for honoring the long cherished demand of tens of thousands of visitors, who come here to Madhaba to have a glance of the Lord’s maternal uncle’s home and darshan of the Lord Madhaba, an epitome of the Trinity presiding in the Puri Shri Jagannath Temple.
Earlier, the shrine had got MoBus connectivity from Bhubaneswar. Now, MoBuses will be plying between Cuttack and the Madhaba shrine.
The first MoBus from Cuttack that left Markatnagar in Cuttack for Madhaba near Niali today, will regularly run on the route number 84, said a CRUT official.
