Bhubaneswar, Nov 14: The Governor of Odisha, Raghubar Das, has initiated the appointment process for new Vice-Chancellors at three prominent universities in the state: Utkal University, Rama Devi Women’s University, and Gangadhar Meher University.
With the terms of the current Vice-Chancellors concluding this month, Governor Das has instructed the Higher Education Department to fast-track the selection process for a smooth leadership transition.
This decision is part of a broader effort to strengthen the academic and administrative systems at Odisha’s key higher education institutions.
The outgoing Vice-Chancellors have been commended for their significant contributions, including advancements in research, infrastructure, and student welfare.
The incoming appointees are expected to build on these achievements and further elevate the universities' standing both within India and internationally.
