Bhubaneswar, Jan 22: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicted that night temperature across Odisha is likely to rise by 3°C-4°C from today under the influence of western disturbances.
As per the regional office of IMD in Bhubaneswar, the cold wave conditions prevailing in several parts of Odisha are likely to subside from today. The minimum night temperature in the state is expected to remain steady until January 26.
However, the weather department forecasted that dense fog is likely to occur in several districts of Odisha during this period. A yellow warning for dense fog has been sounded for Khurda, Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack, Kendrapara and Kandhamal districts.
Shallow to moderate fog is likely to occur during the early morning hours in some areas of Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack, Kendrapada, and Khurda, and in isolated parts of Bhadrak, Balasore, Jajpur, Angul, Dhenkanal, Mayurbhanj, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Kandhamal, and Kalahandi during this period.
The IMD has forecast clear skies for Bhubaneswar and its surrounding areas over the next 24 hours.
