Bhubaneswar, June 29: The Department of Agriculture & Farmers' Empowerment has directed that no district officials can visit state headquarters with transfer related issues without permission of higher authority.
No district level officials are allowed to frequent state headquarters with transfer related issues without prior permission from higher authorities. In case of violation of the order, action will be taken as per service rule, department principal secretary Arabinda Kumar Padhee said on Friday.
We are working on transferred related issues on priority basis. However, it is observed that some officials are frequenting state headquarters in this regard violating department’s previous order, he said.
It is mandatory for district level and field officials to take permission of higher authorities before leaving their respective reporting offices. Similarly, their grievances received through department e-mail or proper channel will be addressed following personal qualification and government rules.
The department is holding grievance room on every Monday. The officials are directed to be present in grievance rooms to address problems of farmers on priority basis, he said.
