Bhubaneswar, May 1: The supremo of the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) and Odisha Chief Minister, Naveen Patnaik, is scheduled to file his nomination papers tomorrow from Kantabanji in Bolangir district. Accompanied by his trusted aide, V K Pandian, Patnaik will officially submit the papers at the Deputy District Collector's office in Titlagarh.
Patnaik's itinerary for the day includes his arrival at Tusura Airstrip at 10:25 am, followed by his appearance at the Titlagarh Deputy District Collector's office at 11:05 am to complete the nomination process. He is expected to return to Bhubaneswar around 11:40 am.
This move marks a strategic decision by Patnaik to contest from two seats, a strategy not unfamiliar to him. In the 2019 elections, he successfully won from both Hinjili and Bijepur constituencies. However, he later vacated the Bijepur seat, opting to retain his stronghold in Hinjili, a constituency he has held for over two decades.
