Bhubaneswar, Feb 27: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi met people who got injured during the Maha Shivaratri celebrations at Lingaraj Temple in Bhubaneswar late last night.
CM Majhi prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured servicemen and said steps are being taken to provide proper treatment to all of them on priority.
Taking to his official ‘X’ handle, CM Majhi wrote, "I met the injured servicemen who met with an accident during the Lingaraj Temple Jagar Yatra and are undergoing treatment and inquired about their health condition. Steps are being taken to provide good treatment to all the injured servicemen on priority. I pray to the Almighty for the speedy recovery of the injured servicemen."
On the other hand, the Mahadeepa was lifted atop the 11th-century Lingaraj Temple at around 10:30 PM last night. Following the ritual, devotees concluded their day-long fasts.
After the Bedha Parikrama rituals, the Mahadeepa was lit and the servitors carried it to the top of the temple.
