Bhubaneswar, Dec 30: The Odisha government has decided to implement the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri – Jan Arogya Yojana and Gopabandhu Jan Arogya Yojana (GJAY) in February next year.
Health & Family Welfare Minister Mukesh Mahaling on Monday said the government will make a big announcement in the new year.
“Around 3.5 crore people in Odisha will get individual health cards in Odisha and no one will be deprived of health insurance schemes,” said the Minister.
Mahaling informed that a team from the Centre has already completed the survey for implementing Ayushman Bharat Yojana in the state.
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) will be signed for the implementation of Ayushman Bharat Yojana and Gopabandhu Jan Arogya Yojana to provide free healthcare services.
The beneficiaries covered under the Ayushman Bharat Yojana can get healthcare services at hospitals up to Rs 5 lakh. On the other hand, those covered under Gopabandhu Jan Arogya Yojana will avail healthcare services up to Rs 5 lakh in rural areas and up to Rs 6 lakh in urban areas.
