Bhubaneswar, June 30: Odisha Governor Raghubar Das, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi and former chief Minister Naveen Patnaik heaped praises on team India after the historic victory over South Africa in the thrilling final of the ICC T20 World Cup at Kensington Oval in Barbados on Saturday.
Governor Raghubar Das congratulated the players of Team India for their excellent performance and wrote, “World champion 🏆 The Indian cricket team performed brilliantly in the final match of the T20 World Cup and created history by defeating South Africa and winning the World Cup. Hearty congratulations to every Indian on this historic victory and to all the players of Team India for their excellent performance,” on his official ‘X’ handle.
Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi congratulated the players and wished Indian cricket to achieve many such successes and make the country proud.
“Today, the Indian men's cricket team defeated South Africa to win the T20 World Cup for the second time. Many many congratulations to all the players and partners who won the World Cup. Today's victory has once again filled the hearts of 140 crore Indians. I wish Indian cricket to achieve many such successes and make the country proud. Bande Mataram 🙏,” wrote Majhi on his ‘X’ handle.
Former Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik also extended his greetings to the team India.
Taking to his official ‘X’ handle, Patnaik wrote, “Congratulate Team India on lifting #T20WorldCup2024 after defeating South Africa in a nail-biting final match. The Indian team has made the entire nation proud with their outstanding all-round performance. Well done, champions!”
