Berhampur, May 8: In a horrific incident, a minor girl was allegedly gang-raped by her friends after being offered spiked cold drink in Odisha’s Berhampur.
Police have detained eight persons in this connection and are questioning them.
As per reports, the incident took place three days back and came to fore after the victim lodged a complaint with Baidyanathpur police.
Sources said that the victim had gone to one of her friend’s house in Berhampur. Her friends reportedly offered her cold drinks laced with drugs and raped her after she became unconscious.
A case has been registered and further investigation into the matter is underway, said the police.
