Bhubaneswar/Bengaluru, Nov 8: Neha Biswal, a popular Odia influencer residing in Bengaluru, recently took to social media to share a harrowing experience of harassment. The incident occurred on Tuesday while she was filming a video blog on her way home from work in the BTM Layout area.
According to Biswal, a young boy on a bicycle approached her and began making lewd gestures. The entire incident was captured on her camera. Sharing her ordeal on Instagram, she expressed shock and disappointment over the incident.
"This has never happened to me before. I feel terrible," she said in her video post.
Despite the traumatic experience, Biswal has chosen not to file a formal complaint to protect the juvenile's future. However, she has urged authorities to take appropriate action to prevent such incidents from recurring.
The Bengaluru Police have assured Biswal of their support and have initiated an investigation into the matter. They are currently examining CCTV footage from the area to gather more information.
The incident has sparked widespread outrage on social media, with many expressing concern over the rising cases of harassment and the need for stricter measures to ensure women's safety.
