Bhubaneswar, January 9: Odisha’s Law Minister, Prithviraj Harichandan, has praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s address to the Indian diaspora at the 18th Pravasi Bharatiya Divas (PBD) held in Bhubaneswar on Thursday.
Harichandan said that the PM’s speech was his appeal to the Indian diaspora across the globe to play an active role in the development of the country, particularly in eastern India and Odisha. The PM had encouraged them to visit India frequently, learn about its rich history, culture, and heritage, and explore various business prospects in Odisha
Harichandan further said that PM Modi emphasized fostering a natural bond between the diaspora and their roots. He urged them to visit India often to deepen this connection and understand the immense potential for entrepreneurship in places like Odisha.”
The Prime Minister, in his address, expressed India’s commitment to supporting the diaspora in times of crisis. He also acknowledged their role in raising India’s global profile.
Prime Minister also encouraged the diaspora to bring their non-Indian friends to India during their visits.
The Pravasi Bharatiya Divas Convention is a flagship event organized by the Government of India aimed at connecting with the Indian diaspora and fostering interaction among them.
