Odisha leaders welcome PM Modi upon arrival at Pravasi Bharatiya Divas 2025

Bhubaneswar, Jan 9: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Majhi and Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati welcomed Prime Minister Narendra Modi upon his arrival at Janata Maidan in Bhubaneswar for Pravasi Bharatiya Divas 2025.

The dignitaries greeted the PM with traditional honors.

The PBD Convention, an important event that celebrates the contributions of the Indian diaspora, is being inaugurated by Prime Minister Modi today.

The convention is expected to include discussions on a wide range of topics, including the economic, cultural, and social impact of the Indian diaspora.

Apart from that, PM Modi virtually flagged off the inaugural journey of the Pravasi Bharatiya Express, a special tourist train for the Indian diaspora, which will depart from the Nizamuddin Railway Station in Delhi and travel to multiple destinations of touristic and religious importance in India for a period of three weeks.
