Varanasi (UP), February 27: Varanasi saw an overwhelming turnout of devotees on Mahashivaratri, with over 11.69 lakh people visiting the Kashi Vishwanath temple to offer their prayers, an official informed in a statement released on Thursday.
Following Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's instructions, the local administration implemented extensive security measures, efficient crowd management, and ensured necessary facilities for the devotees' comfort.
Under the guidance of the Kashi Vishwanath temple authorities, well-organized arrangements were made to provide a smooth and uninterrupted 'darshan' experience for the visitors.
