On the occasion of World Environment Day, Hon'ble Prime Minister planted a sapling of peepal tree at Buddha Jayanti Park, New Delhi and #Plant4Mother campaign.
Plantation of trees is central to the objectives of halting and reversing Land degradation, building drought resilience and preventing desertification. Under the afore mentioned campaign, it is proposed to plant 80 crore trees by September and 140 crores by March, 2025 following a "Whole of Government" and "Whole of Society Approach". The trees would be planted across the country by individuals, entities, community based organizations, Central and State Government Departments and local bodies.
The importance of planting trees which nurture human beings and indeed, all living beings across the planet, the inter-relationship between tree, Mother and Mother Earth, would be especially emphasized through the idea of Plant4Mother.
In view of the guidance given by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC) and to participate in the campaign, Canara Bank Circle Bhubaneswar carried out plantation activity in BMC Park at Paika Nagar, Gopabandhu Nagar, Bhubaneswar.

Around 70 plus Baula tree sampling were planted alongwith 60 decorative plants.
Along with that Canara Bank Circle office is donating 500 Baula tree sampling to BMC directly for their plantation requirement at various places
