Bhubaneswar, November 23: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to participate in the grand cultural festival ‘Odisha Parba 2024’ at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Delhi, on Sunday, November 24, at around 5:30 p.m., an official said today.
Organized by the Odia Samaj, a trust in Delhi, Odisha Parba aims to promote and preserve the rich heritage, art, and culture of Odisha.
This year’s event, held from November 22 to 24, features vibrant cultural performances, exhibitions, and a conclave led by distinguished experts across various fields.
President Droupadi Murmu inaugurated the festival on Friday, lauding its decade-long contribution to showcasing Odisha’s cultural legacy.
Speaking at the event, she highlighted Odisha’s heritage of tolerance and harmony.
“The Kalinga War, which transformed Emperor Ashoka from 'Chandashoka' to 'Dharmashoka,' teaches us the value of peace and its role in progress. Odisha's history offers a path of peace to the world,” President Murmu remarked.
Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi also attended the inaugural event. The Chief Minister emphasized the significance of such festivals in bringing Odia culture to the global stage.
