Police encounter: Antisocial critical in Samablpur

Sambalpur, December 7: An antisocial reportedly became critical in Odisha’s Sambalpur on Saturday following an encounter by police.

The injured one, identified as Sanjib Karali was hospitalized by the Sambalpur police.

Police sources said, Sanjib who was most wanted for the Sambalpur police for his involvement in a series of heinous crimes, was being chased by armed police in the Rengali area. Meanwhile, he opened fire targeting the police for which the cops had to retaliate. As a result, one shot hit Sanjib’s right leg  and he fell down on the spot.

Following this, he was rushed to the hospital for resuscitation.
